Planned Itinerary

Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport and enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu, stopping at Tachog Lhakhang en route. Check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring Thimphu town.

Drive to Genekha – Trek to Gur

Drive from Thimphu to Genekha (2,800m), the starting point of the trek. Begin ascending through oak forests and alpine trails to reach Gur campsite (3,290m) set amidst yak pastures.

Gur to Labatama

Cross high ridge trails decorated with alpine flora and cross the Pangalabtsa pass (4,250m). Descend into the Labatama valley and camp near Utsho Lake (4,300m).

Labatama Exploration & Acclimatization

Spend a full day exploring nearby sacred high-altitude lakes such as Relitsho, Hen Tsho, and Jametsho, enjoying panoramic Himalayan views and peaceful nature.

Labatama to Panka

Trek along the western side of Dala Tsho up to a saddle at 4,520m for spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga, and Jomolhari. Descend to Panka campsite (4,000m).

Panka to Chamgang – Drive to Thimphu

Cross mountain passes including Tale La (4,180m), descend past Talikha Goempa to Chamgang village, and meet your vehicle for a drive back to Thimphu.

Thimphu to Paro

Explore Thimphu's cultural sites including Buddha Dordenma and Tashichho Dzong before driving back to Paro for a relaxed evening.

Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)

Embark on the iconic hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery), perched on a cliff face 900 meters above Paro Valley. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang in the evening.

Departure from Paro

Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight home.
